Nov. 15, 2013. More than 50 persons attended this site meeting, including leads from Ruoqiang Agricultural Machinery Bureau, Ruoqiang Agricultural Bureau, Ruoqiang Agricultural Economy Bureau, Tieganlike Township, Wutamu Township, directors of all village committees, leaders of some specialized jujube cooperatives, including Xingfa Specialized Jujube Cooperative, agricultural machine system technicians, farmers using agricultural machines and jujube growers in Bayingol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang.

At the meeting, the functions of each part of jujube dryer in the jujube drying room were introduced in detail, particularly the features of automatic smart temperature control and air circulation drying. In addition, the product dried was compared with the one dried manually in respect of quality and consumption, etc.: The drying of jujube is not subject to the impact of weather and only takes 12- 24 hours. The jujube dried has bright and uniform color. The equipment has high rate of yield and little labor consumption. Only the fuel supply needs to be managed, and one worker can manage 10 dryers; the manual drying is greatly subject to the impact of weather and manual turnover, etc. and takes 5- 10 days. The jujube dried manually has non-uniform color and is easy to absorb dust. During overturning and transportation, the breakage rate is very high. Moreover, the drying needs to be attended on site, and collection and moving also need lots of labor force. Through calculation, to dry 1 kg of fresh jujube with our equipment, the required cost of coal, power consumption and labor is RMB 0.165, whereas such cost is about RMB 0.65 for manual drying due to impact of distance and labor cost, etc.
Such meeting allowed the people to see the advantages of operation technology of jujube dryer visually. The construction of jujube drying room will solve the problems of high input cost and no income increase despite rising yield of jujube drying room and slow development of jujube industry
